Goes to Bike Night at Quaker Steak In St. Petersburg

Every Wednesday Quaker Steak in St. Petersburg holds the biggest Bike Night in Pinellas County. And nearly every Wednesday night you will find Defenders roaming the event. This past Wednesday was a particularly active night. The crowds were larger than usual probably because the weather was perfect. Defenders showed up in strength. Razor, Scar, Saint, Striker, Jailbreak, Hollywood and Blade were there. As were Rick Tanner, Prospect Terry and his lovely wife.

Everyone enjoyed the balmy evening. Not too cold and not too hot. Some of the people showed up with their best friends. This Great Dane really enjoys his spot. What more could a dog want, an open side car, cool evening air and someone to ride around with.
After a while Probate Hollywood arranged for some riders to meet his friend Bob Hite in Tampa for a tour of the Channel 8 News broadcasting.

Bob Hite took us around the building for a tour. While we were in his office area Saint mentioned he had been a fan of Bob's dad, the voice of the Lone Ranger, Green Lantern and the Shadow. Bob showed us a picture of his Dad, who was also a broadcaster, and the camera he carried.
Bob and Gayle were gracious hosts and we all enjoyed a few minutes conversation before they had to go to work. We went to the control room and watched how it is done. Then we went downstairs to the studio.

We had a really good time. Special thanks go out to Bob Hite and Gayle Sierens for sharing their time with us. Bob and Gayle have been in most of our homes for years now and we all think of them as our guest during dinner time or just before bed. They are just as real and warm in person as they are on the television. Best of all, Bob rides a Harley. I invited him to ride with us and hope he takes us up on the offer someday.
