Tampa Bay Defenders LE M/C Chapter
Support the Bartow Fallen Heroes Poker Run
November 10, 2007

Saturday, November 10, 2007 the Defenders LE M/C rode in support of the First Annual Fallen Heroes Poker Run in Polk County, Florida. It started early at the Sheriff's Youth Ranch in Bartow. The previous year it had been held to honor and remember Deputy Matt Williams and his K9 partner DiOGi who were killed in the line of duty. This year it was to help the families of Polk County Future Fallen Heroes and the Florida Sheriff's Youth Ranch.

The turnout of Defenders was awesome. Brothers and Sisters of the DMC came from as far away as Charlotte and Lee County. The Brothers and Sisters of the Tampa Bay Chapter appreciate their fine support for this great cause.

The weather was perfect. Very cool in the morning and clear throughout the day. It was a great day for a ride and the Defenders enjoyed the central Florida countryside..

Their first stop was at Ridge Harley Davidson where they were greeted by the friendly staff and fed hot dogs and soft drinks. Everyone drew their second card there and then moved on to the Fire Station on Watkins Road in Polk County. After a brief visit and drawing another card we moved on to Beef O'Bradys for our last drawing before our final stop at Fantasy of Flight.

At Fantasy of Flight they were treated to a show and music put on by the band Signal Zero. It was all in all a great day and everyone enjoyed the fellowship of the Defenders brotherhood. We look forward to doing it again soon.
